Every connection starts non-mutating. Moving to Armed mode is a separate, explicit decision—not a side effect of starting the trial.
Blind Spot checks the selected Shopify revenue path, opens one incident for the continuous failure, and retains the evidence. No ad-provider change is possible in this mode.
Evidence only
Shadow evaluates the monitor-to-destination mapping and reports which allowlisted campaigns would qualify. The provider remains unchanged.
Decision only
After explicit consent, an eligible verified incident may pause only the selected campaigns when current evidence, authorization, coverage, and kill-switch checks all pass.

Missing, stale, incomplete, unsupported, or ambiguous state fails closed. Monitoring and alerts continue even when an ad-provider action cannot proceed.

Only active allowlisted campaigns are submitted for a campaign-status change.
Progress and the provider outcome are written to the incident action history.
Only campaigns Blind Spot recorded as paused for that incident are eligible to resume after stable recovery.
Provider availability
Ads protection is in private beta. Availability depends on exact-shop enablement, provider approval, account eligibility, current authorization, and a successful safety setup. Unsupported or uninspectable ad destinations remain review-only.
